Learn how to integrate your sensor of choice for NVIDIA DRIVE®.
In this course, you will be guided through a working example of a custom plugin for a sensor using the DriveWorks SDK and implement core elements of the plugin. At the end of the course, you will have implemented a fully working plugin that you can test with prerecorded data. This implementation will cover all aspects of a sensor integration and can be used as a template for other sensor integrations in your own projects.
Course Prerequisites
Basic experience in C++ and Linux terminal commands.
What you will learn
You'll learn how to:
- Work with the Sensor Abstraction Layer (SAL) and the sensor life cycle management in DriveWorks
- Implement a custom plugin for a sensor such as LIDAR or RADAR
- Deploy a working custom sensor plugin on the host development machine
- Verify a custom sensor plugin using replay recordings of the sensor on the host machine
- Explore the theoretical steps needed to deploy a custom plugin to a target device
